Santa Maria del RosarioThis is a real charming town with high trees, old houses and friendly inhabitants, just off the freeway at El Catao. Here you’ll find the ‘Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario’, which is also called the ‘Catedral de los Campos de Cuba’ (Cathedral of the Cuban Countryside). Other places of interest are the rebuilded house of the ‘Count of Casa Bayona’, the old owner of the Quiebrahacha sugar factory and the Casa de la Cultura. | |
