TuriguanoCiego de Ávila - Ciego de Avila City The Turiguano isle is not part of the Jardines del Rey archipelago (it is not connected to the mainland by means of a highway that was built in the 60’s) but, given its proximity to the archipelago, deserves to also be mentioned, especially considering its many tourist attractions. Laguna La Redonda This lake extends over 4 square km and is located at the beginning of the causeway to Cayo Coco. It has 4.5 km of natural channel is the habitat for numerous species of fresh water fish and there for it is a well-known international bass fishing site that offers the fishermen all facilities for a great catch!
