Cuba has very few public holidays. Nevertheless, on the below mentioned days expect to find most shops closed and the beaches a little busier than usual.

October 10 Anniversary of the Beginning of the Wars of Independence

* Note that Christmas Day has been observed as a public holiday since the Pope’s visit in 1997.
