Havana art, there's plenty to explore in Havana’s world of arts. Every year important events are hold in Havana: Jazz Plaza festival, International theater festival, Cubadisco, Cuballet, Cubadanza and Folkuba. Several museums are located in Old Havana, contain: furniture, silverware, pottery, glass and other items from the colonial period. Havana is a cultural melting pot, where you can experience all type of melodies from Cuban Salsa, Mambo, son and guaguanco styles, to Latin jazz and Buena Vista type of music. In Havana’s art gallerias you will find impassive collection of contemporary Cuban paintings.

Painting is the most genuine expression of fine arts on the island. Cuban artists today are abundant. They provide a mixture of past and future conceptions that are creating a worldwide attraction to the works. Some of the most know modern painters are: Roberto Fabelo, Pedro Pablo Oliva, Mariano Rodriguez and Tomas Sanchez.

Music is undoubtedly the one that has influenced more the personality of Cuban people. The Habanera, rhythm born from the danza criolla and the contradanza, received its influence from the tango and rhythms of South America.
